Salamun alaykum,

Whom will you ask?

A beggar was asking for his needs from the people. It was the 9th of Dhulhijjah, the day of ‘Arafah. It is reported that our 4th Imam Ali Zaynul Abidin a.s. heard the voice of this person begging from the people. He turned to the beggar and said, “Shame on you! Are you begging from other than Allah on this day? Even for the baby in the mother’s womb, there is the hope that mercy of Allah is with it and that it will become virtuous.”

Imam J’afar Sadiq a.s. explains that in the closing hours of the day of ‘Arafah, Allah SWT informs His angels to bear witness that He is obliged to respond to the supplications- duas - of the good doers, accept their deeds and forgive them.

Day of ‘Arafah: Present your desires to Allah:

Next week Tuesday 15th October will be the day of ‘Arafah in our region. This day is highly recommended for seeking ones desires from Allah SWT. Fasting is recommended for a person who is not so weakened by it as not to be able to recite the supplications of the day of ‘Arafah.

Therefore on this day:
Will your programme be just like any other of your normal routine days?
Will you take advantage of this great only one day bargain offer from Allah SWT?
Will you make effort to benefit from this wide open door by Allah SWT for presenting your hajat?

Remember to pray for the parents, family, the faithful, Marja Taqlid, Ulama, our leaders, the sick ones, departed souls, the Ummah, the people suffering due to conflict around the world and for all who have their hajat.

Wa ma tawfiqi illa billah
