Majlis Summary

During the month of Rajab amongst the supplications we recited included: “O Allah! Bless us in the month of Rajab and Sha’baan.Enable us to witness Shahru Ramadhan.”
Similarly during Sha’baaan we recited:”O Allah! Bless us in the month of Sha’baan.Enable us to witness Shahru Ramadhan.”

Here we are now drawing close to end of Sha’baan and on the threshold of entering the gate of Shahru Ramahan.

It’s no ordinary month:

“Do not say: Ramadhan. Verily Ramdhan is a name from the names of Almighty Allah. Rather say Shahru (month of) Ramadhan.” Noble Prophet.

Are we happy at the arrival of Shahru Ramadhan and witnessing it?

Is it a positive reply?
The response needs to be more than a verbal Yes.It needs to be authenticated by the body,mind and self radiating response to this question.

• The fact that we are alive today and witnessing the commencement of this month and InshAllah to be guests of the divine banquet is an indication that our duas have been accepted. The gift of life is great n’imah; bounty.
• “And as to the bounties of your Lord announce them.” Sura adh-Dhuha 93:11. Appreciate and be grateful for this honour of witnessing shahru Ramadhan
• 4th Imam Zaynul Aabidin explains the reason for Allah having made obligatory five things that, “…Allah doesn’t make anything an obligation for you except that it has something which is verey good,very beautiful (for you)…”

Now that we have been delivered to witness the Shahru Ramadhan what behavior is expected from us?
“Let not the month of Ramadhan be with you like the other months.” Noble Prophet.

How can you make this Shahru Ramadhan not only be different from the other months, but also different to the previous one you witnessed? There is need for planning to attain this change.

Importance of planning:

“Arrange your affairs in order..” Imam Ali bin Abi Talib a.s.

Common saying: If you fail to plan, then you are planning to fail /Failing to plan is planning to fail.

Wa ma tawfiqi illa billah
