Salamun Alaykum,
MONTH OF SAFAR
3 Recommended Deeds:
- The A'amal to be performed on the first day of every Islamic month (AQAIN)
Method: Recite 2 Rakat salah in the following manner:
NIYYAH: I pray two rakat salah of the first day of the month, Sunnat qurbatan ilal laah (to seek nearness to Allah)
In first rakat after Sura Al Fatiha once recite thirty times Sura Al Ikhlas Qul huwallaahu ahad )
In second rakat after Sura Al Fatiha once recite thirty times Sura Al Qadr (Inna Anzalnaahu)
To give sadaqah after salah.
TIP: To recall the sequence of recitation of surahs. Remember the mnemonic word AQAIN which stands for :
A: Alhamdu
Q: Qulhuwallahu
A: Alhamdu
IN: Inna anzalnahu
Benefit: If one does the above act, he would safeguard himself for the month. It would mean that as if one has acquired his/her insurance for that month from Almighty Allah.
Then recite following dua:
There is not a "moving creature" in the earth but the sustenance thereof depends on Allah. He knows its habitation and its repository. All is in a manifest Book.
If Allah touch you with affliction, there is none that can relieve there from save He; and if He desires good for you, there is none who can repel His bounty. He makes it available to whom He wills of his bondmen. He is the Oft-forgiving, the Merciful.
Allah will vouchsafe, after hardship, ease.
That which Allah wills (will come to pass)! There is no strength save in Allah.
Allah is sufficient for us! Most Excellent is He in whom we trust!
I confide my cause unto Allah. Verily, Allah is Seer of (His) bondmen,
There is no god save You. Be You glorified! Verily, I have been a wrongdoer,
My Lord! I am needy of whatever good You sends down for me.
My Lord! Leave me not alone (childless), though You are the best of inheritors
Transliteration
WA MAA MIN DAAABBTIN FIL ARDHI ILLAA A‘LALLAAHI RIZQUHAA WA YA‘–LAMU MUSTAQARRHAA WA MUSTAWDA'A HAA KULLUN FEE KITAABIM MUBEEN
WA IY YAMSASKALLAAHU BI – DHURRIN FALAA KAASHIFA LAHOO ILLAA HOO WA IY YURIDKA BI – KHAYRIN FALAA RAAADDA LI – FADHLIH YUS ‘ EEBU BIHEE MAY YASHAAA – U MIN I‘BAADIH WA HUWAL GHAFOORUR RAH ‘ EEM
SAYAJ – A’ LULLAAHU BA ‘ADA US ‘ RIY YUSRAA
MAA SHAAA – ALLAAHU LAA QUWWATA ILLAA BILLAAH
H‘ASBUNALLAAHU WA NI ‘ – MAL WAKEEL
WA UFAWWIDHU AMREEE ILALLAAH INNALLAAHA BAS ‘ EERUM BIL – I‘BAAD
LAAA ILAAHA ILLAAA ANTA SUBH‘AANAKA INNEE KUNTU MINADH DHAALIMEEN
RABBI INNEE LIMAAA ANZALTA ILAYYA MIN KHAYRIN FAQEER
RABBI LAA TADH‘ ARNEE FARDAW WA ANTA KHAYRUL WAARITHEEN
- It is also highly recommended to give sadqa in this month of Safar.
- To prevent misfortunes during this month of Safar, it is recommended to recite following dua 10 times daily.
Transliteration
YAA SHADEEDAL QUWAA WA YAA SHADEEDAL MIH'AAL YAA A'ZEEZU YAA A'ZEEZU YAA A'ZEEZ DHALLAT BI-A'DHAMATIKA JAMEE-U' KHALQIKA FAK-FINEE SHARRA KHALQIKA YAA MUH'SINU YAA MUJMILU YAA MUN-I'MU YAA MUFDHILU YA LAA ILAAHA ILLAA ANTA SUBH'AANAKA INNEE KUNTU MINADH' DH'AALIMEEN FAS-TAJABNAA LAHU WA NAJJAYNAAHU MINAL GHAMMI WA KADHAA LIKA NUNJIL MU’MINEEN WA S'ALLALLAAHU A'LAA MUH'AMMADIN WA AALIHIT' T'AYYIBEENAT' T'AAHIREEN.
O He who has total, absolute and everlasting power, therefore is versatile and at all times gets the better of the impossible, the Almighty, the Dearest beloved. Dwarfed are all that which have been created by You before Your Majesty. Keep me safe from the evil any of the created beings may direct at me O the praiseworthy who vies in beauty and goodness; does everything in a pleasant way, gives joy, heart and confidence; treats with love and kindness. O "There is no god save You. Be You glorified. Verily I have been a wrongdoer. Then WE heard his prayer and saved him from the anguish. Thus We save believers", O Allah send blessings on Muhammad and on his Pure and Pious descendants
