Salamun alaykum,
Today: Last Jum'ah of the month of Shaban:
Abdus Salam bin Salih al-Harawy, also known as Aba S-alt, reports that "On the last Jum'ah of the month of Sha'ban, he went to visit the eighth Imam Ali bin Musa Ar-Ridha a.s.
The Imam said," 'O' Aba S-alt! Certainly a great amount of the month of Sha'ban has passed and today is the last Jum'ah (of this month). Therefore make up for your negligence during this month on this day through the recitation of a great deal of supplications and constantly asking for forgiveness from Allah.
In addition, read the Qur'an much on this day and turn back towards Allah from your sins so that when the month of Ramadhan comes, you have purified yourself for Allah such that there remains no trust upon your neck except that you have fulfilled it, and that there remains no hatred in your heart for a true believer except that you have removed it and keep away from all sins.
Strengthen the taqwa you have for Allah and have complete reliance upon Him while in private and while you are in the public.
And if anyone puts his trust in Allah, sufficient is (Allah) for him. For Allah will surely accomplish his purpose: verily, for all things has Allah appointed a due proportion.
During the few days that are left in this month of Sha'ban, increase to continuously recite:
????????? ??? ???? ?????? ???????? ????? ?????? ????? ???? ???????? ????????? ????? ?????? ?????? ??????.
ALLAHUMMA IN LAM TAKUN GHAFARTA LANA FI MAA MADHA MIN SH'ABAAN FAGHFIRLANA FI MAA BAQIYA MINHU
("O' Allah! If you have not forgiven us (our sins) in that which has passed of this (month of) Sha'ban, then forgive us (our sins) in the period that is remaining (of the month of Sha'ban).)"
Then the Imam continued to say, "For Allah the Most High, will prevent a large number of people from the hell during this month in honor for the month of Ramadhan."
Today: As the time runs out on this last Jum'ah of the month of Shaban, what will you grab from this advice from our Imam Ali Ar Ridha?
Wa ma tawfiqi illa billah
