Salamun alaykum,
Another Travel Advisory:
Britain joined the United States in warning of a heightened risk of terrorist attack in Europe. On 3rd October the United States Government warned its citizens in an official travel advisory to be vigilant whilst travelling in Europe, amid fears of a terrorist commando-style attack.
The State Department said that cities in the UK, France and Germany were thought to be targets for the militants. Security sources have warned of a plan where teams of gunmen are sent to crowded places to kill civilians.
Its effect:
Such reports cast a shadow over our daily lives. As a result of this warning the security forces are in a state of alert and waiting. The Intelligence arm is alert to be able to fail the plots and prevent the strike.
In the public two attitudes can be seen. Some people are anxious and worried in the sense they are ‘waiting for the terrorists to strike’ any moment. On the other hand some people just carry on with their day living normal lives with nothing to worry.
All are waiting:
Since the commencement of the Ghaybatu Sughra ( Major Occultation) of our present Imam Al Mahdi ( may Allah hasten his re-appearance) on 10th Shawwal 328 A.H. ( around 18th July 940 C.E.) ) we too are in the state of waiting. Our waiting i.e. Intidhaar is for the re-appearance of the rightful heir to the holy prophet –the 12th Imam- to fill the earth with justice and equality. This waiting is an important part of our faith.
Check your status:
Like the above two effects on the public due to the travel advisory, the ghaybat of the Imam has an effect upon us too.
Waiting has become part of our lives. The Dhuhur –reappearance of our Imam is an important event that will change everything.
Has it made you alert, waiting, fulfilling your duty for the arrival of the Imam and receiving him with obedience? Or do you complacently continue leading your daily lives heedless of the need for your self to be alert?
The choice is yours.
